Do you think "~" is pronounced "twiddle," "tilda" or "squiggle?" (More creative options allowed, of course. Myself, I usually say "twiddle" but I used to say "squiggle" and I think I said "tilda" for a while.)

All right, clearly my spelling instinct has failed me for once. The word is actually "tilde," but it is pronounced with a schwa at the end. I've never seen it spelled out in front of me...too bad I can guess the spelling of a word like "cancrizans" but not "tilda." Anyway, that's what I meant.
