Olivia (who disdains LJ, but who was in Princeton concurrently with me for once) says I'm too young for chronic stomach problems. And my doctor says that one does not talk of "ulcers," and that I may have been fretting too much or eating too many acidic vegetables (did you know that spinach and broccoli count?) and should eat carbohydrates instead. (This makes sense, I suppose, if one assumes that I'm designed to eat fewer vegetables than others. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] silkspinner and our joint cooking I had plenty this summer.)

Nevertheless, yesterday up until this afternoon was one of a couple of episodes of stomach problems this spring/summer which appear to be mainly that there's too much acid and this makes it hard for me to eat. So if I'm looking pale you should feel free to shove edible bits of limestone (i.e. Tums, etc.) or crackers at me. I have a pill I should take every day for 30 days now, too; the theory is that whatever is wrong with my stomach will heal if there's less acid. So reminders about the pill would be much appreciated. In the meantime, hopefully I won't lose any more weight! :/
