Tangerine chocolate brownies

ophblekuwufu and thenemm's mother, but vegan.
I had tangerine chocolate cookies from Rainbow Grocery twice, and both times they were good, but not fresh-baked. Then I tried to make such cookies, which came out all right, but I concluded that a) I needed better cocoa powder and b) cookies require too much texture to hold enough flavor. So the wonderful truffly brownie recipe was the model for what I fed to the department.

Next I'm going to try making some vegan and some non-vegan, partly to test texture and partly because I want to give some to my aunt who is allergic to soy /and/ canola /and/ nuts and more, and replacing these then becomes expensive.
