And suddenly, as if struck by lightning, my interest in Chinese and my interest in singing (which, given listening comprehension and voice training, have some overlap), had their crossing sections melded together.

(yay! This means I can sing out loud now...also, I've taken an interest in the uniquely Chinese harsh-high-style singing, and actually sort of managed to get that sound, since our teacher is a professional.)

I'm actually going to see some Beijing Opera tonight... :)
No translations, so it'll be IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to understand, but that's the same for Beijing citizens as they use a weird mixed dialect.
