They told me that if I went to a West Coast school, at least I'd have good weather. Well, *I* don't count having RAIN when people in Minnesota get to have SNOW as good weather!
To top that off, I'm going to see my aunt and uncle from Seattle today, and my uncle will probably find the weather exactly to his taste; he loves the 50-degree-F-usually-raining Seattle.

(Yes, I realize that the punchline here is that it could be worse: I could be going to school in Seattle.)

My parents left the Stanford area largely because of the weather. Anyone who thinks California is warm and sunny all the time is thinking about SoCal. Granted, it'll never get very cold where you are (my mother occasionally reminisces about going barefoot year round in college,; she was such a hippy :D), but it'll be rainy a lot, so lucky you!

(I think there is a dry season, but it's in the summer.)
