I passed both quals!!
Apr. 2nd, 2010 05:00 pmw00000000000000000t!
Once again, I remember that life needs theme music. I'm not really feeling it. But then, I can supply my own, just not compose it. And thanks to a party and visits and plans in SF, I am about to have what my roommate calls a "stay-cation" to make up for the "away-school" (better word for a break in which one leaves but studies?) I just had.
Surprisingly many people wished me good luck (
complexzeta said he hoped I wouldn't need it, which I call a cop-out substitute though it is logical) and/or told me in no uncertain terms that I would pass. It really helped, as my fear of failure is pretty strong, doncha know; now I can concentrate on differential geometry and whatnot!
Recommendations for I-did-it/I-can-do-it Broadway songs?

Date: 2010-04-02 11:55 pm (UTC)Hmmm...theme music? The song I generally think of in these situations is Fantastiks, "I Can See It", but it's not exactly appropriate maybe perhaps.

Date: 2010-04-03 05:41 am (UTC)The ones that come to mind for me, more along the lines of celebrating being done, are "I Can Do That," Chorus Line; "Miracle of Miracles," Fiddler; "Let it Go," Full Monty; "No Contest," Chess; "The Egg," 1776; "Tomorrow Belongs to Me," Cabaret, if you want to be creepy about it; "Ya Never Know," Little Shop; "Ain't It Good," Children of Eden; "Ever After," Into the Woods; "It's a Hit," Merrily We Roll Along; "I Feel So Much Spring," New Brain; and, if you can wait until tomorrow, "Sunday." There's also "This is the Moment," from J&H, but again, a bit darker than feels appropriate.
And, most of all, "You Did It!" (My Fair Lady)
