back home at last...
May. 28th, 2006 06:29 pmand sorting through the books I brought home.
So far, I have 20 books I want to read over the summer (only one of which has anything to do with math), plus 1 paper in paper form, about 5 in computer form, 1 book of cryptograms (for the plane, or fun with friends or my grandmother), 3 small magazine issues, and my book about Arabic script. Plus I should look over my math psets and Chinese tests. Really,
silkspinner, this means I'll get some things back to you and your sister!!
I have 9 books (most of which I have read) that I don't want--Mom and Dad can take them or sell them, as they like. Heh--Mom apparently shares
edjoesu's bad opinion of Peter Singer...good to know that Science B-29 really /was/ a waste of time.
Then I have a whopping 31 books that I want to bring back to Harvard, either for reference or because I want to read them eventually but probably won't this summer...hmm...this means I won't give /all/ of them back...
But today, I went and sang in Trinity Choir, the last service for which Leslie Smith is rector...sad, but it had a lot of music I liked. Mr. Bertalot even came to conduct "God so loved the world." Grr--
kat_ravensong should've been there. She'd be interested to note the new surplices, which drive
grapefruitism crazy. Diana (my sister) and I then proceeded to go off and have lunch with
grapefruitism and her sister's boyfriend, which was fun...then we dropped Diana off at home (work, etc., doncha know--she has a sleepover tonight for which she and my parents have just left, so despite the holiday tomorrow she has to do /something/) and went off to make earrings. I don't think the ones I want to make will have quite the intended appearance of hands climbing up a rope, but they will be pretty anyway. And mine. :)
Well, I'm supposed to clean up/unpack/change out of this dress now, and then my parents and I will have an outing...they're determined to make it a run, whereas I'm determined to have a relaxing bike ride. Hopefully it will work out. :)
