I use my LJ handle as an explanation

I now know something of what happened to me every day from December 27, 1996 to April 6, 1997--the day before I turned eleven. That more than makes up for the loss of this summer's journal.
( For those interested, three amusing/revealing entries )
Such beautiful cursive I used to write!
OK, so I guess that doesn't answer
silkspinner's question of why I'd read the old ones. The answer to that is so that I know something of what it's like to be a kid--or rather, that was my original purpose in starting them. Now at least reading /this/ far back is for a sometimes nostalgic but mostly amusing entertainment, but journals still are so that I can understand myself. (And I notice a couple of things that I did not read anything into, at the time.) I think I was quite cute. :) (And quite happy, in general.) But suddenly, having looked at that and a few cards sent to me in various years, I feel very very old.
